Working with Point and Paragraph text on a page for Print

This exercise is to be used in conjunction with face to face training

On the photoshop menu

Go to New/preset Sizes /A4 with a white background 150 DPI

Select some images to use as graphics in your document from the file browser try to select some images with a common theme

Select each image using ctrl+A and copy using ctrl+C

Paste into your new document using ctrl+V and lay them out with white space for text areas

on layers properties select auto select layer this will make it easer for moving around the images the images

Creating a type mask for banner

Type some large text for a banner use ctrl+T to stretch text

select a picture that below your text press ctrl and select your text you will get a selection shaped like the text on the picture layer
go to select inverse on your menu and press delete you should get the following results

Draw a text box on the page where you want a text paragraph and paste the below text in the box

"Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliquyam erat, sed diam voluptua."

You can now format the text using properties and the character palette

Fill the page with the latin text
warp text using the warp palette
Print your document
