Mode submenu. This section converts your image into different colour models

The image size submenu

This menu gives you the ability to resize your image and is very important for setting an image up for print .

Notes:

Canvas size This menu allows you to increase your working area without actually resizing your existing image.

Notes:

This menu will rotate your image and will resize your canvas to suit and fill the blank space with your background colour .

The Adjustments Menu. This is the menu with all the goodies for adjusting colour levels in your image

Changing dark and light midtones using the curves tool

go to Image/adjustments/curves

In this dialog box click on options and select find dark and light colours click ok and select the white eyedropper and click on the whitest part of your image then select the black eyedropper and click on the darkest part of your image now adjust the diagonal line to see results
